TUTO COUTURE : LE TOP À VOLANTS !

Good morning all ! 

We meet today for a new Tuto Couture. They were there all summer, they will be there again this winter. They are the ruffled tops!

On the bust, arms or shoulders, this little frivolous detail has taken our wardrobe by storm. Neither one nor two, Cloé has prepared a super easy tutorial to make the summer last. 

At your wheel! 

For this tutorial you will need ... not much!

A small coupon in your fabric stock or as Cloé  a  nice peach skin Modal Fabric  from our shop in pink. Our  peach skin modal fabrics are completely opaque and 100% soft. There are 4 trendy colors!

Materials needed to complete this tutorial:

- 1M50 of fabric

- 1 M of elastic

- A tape measure

- A pair of scissors

- A ruler

- A special fabric pencil

- Wire and pins

STEP 1 :

After measuring your chest size, fold your fabric and start drawing the pattern for the top according to the diagram above. Then cut

2ND STEP :

Place the two pieces of the top against each other, and stitch each side 1 cm from the edge. Stop at the corner. And do the same with the two pieces of the lining.

STEP 3:

Then place the lining on the top, so that the two are right sides together. Sew all the top 1 cm from the edge.

STEP 4:

Notch the angles, especially those under the arms. Then press the lining inward.

STEP 5:

To properly place the lining inward, topstitch by stitching the edge a few millimeters, on the right side of the top.

STEP 6:

Cut the elastic, it should go around your chest - 3 cm. Stitch the two ends of it 1 cm from the edge.

STEP 7:

Faites-vous des repères à tous les ¼ de votre top et de votre élastique. 

ETAPE 8 : 

Placez l’élastique à l’intérieur de votre top, à cheval sur l’extrémité de la doublure. Cousez le premier quart en partant d’une des coutures de côté, et en tirant sur l’élastique pour que celui-ci soit placé sur le repère suivant, et ainsi de suite. 

ETAPE 9 :

La fronce de votre top doit être ainsi formée, il ne vous reste plus qu’à rajouter les bretelles.

ETAPE 10 :

Placez deux rectangles l’un sur l’autre, puis piquez sur trois côtés en laissant une extrémité ouverte cela vous permet de retourner votre bretelle sur l’endroit. Plaquez celle-ci au fer à repasser. Et faites de même pour les trois autres bretelles.

ETAPE 11 :

Place your strap inside the blouse, on the elastic and stitch the strap with it. So the seam of the strap will not be seen on the place of the top :) End up making a hem on the bottom of your top and voila!
